The YHS is a health service for young people run by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde working in partnership with Culture and Sport Glasgow, Community Addictions Team and voluntary organisations.

6 % of 13-15 yr olds are regular smokers
23% of 13-15 yr olds drink alcohol once per week. Most of these spend an average of £8 per week on alcohol
15% of all 15 yr olds who had drunk alcohol had unprotected sex whilst under the influence
24% of 13-15 yr olds report having taken drugs at some point. 4% reported taking drugs once a week
27% of those surveyed didn’t know heroin was addictive
And in Maryhill the number of hospital admissions related to alcohol for the 13-15 yr age group was higher than any other constituency in Scotland.
