Exercise Excuses
...do you recognise your own excuses?

I haven’t got the time
You don’t have to set aside special time, just build it into you’re routine, walk a bit more, take stairs instead of the lift!

There’s no gain without pain
Wrong. Physical activity should feel comfortable.

But you’ve got to be dedicated if you want to get fit. It takes a lot of will power.
Not really, build up slowly, its not a huge effort!

I’m not fit enough.
Take your time and listen to your body, just think of increasing your levels of activity!

Most of the year the weather’s too bad to get out and be active.
You can still be active indoors, go swimming or dancing!

You need to go to a class or join a club!
You don’t. You could have a game in the park with your friends, or go for a swim in the local pool, or just go for a walk.

If you want to stay fit it only takes 20 – 30 minutes of vigorous activity 2 to 3 days a week.

Come and get ur exercise this week in our gym at the YHS for free! We can help you with a training programme or simply come along and give it a go!
