The Facts

37% of girls & 26% of boys don’t eat breakfast.
38% of girls & 37% of boys eat crisps every day.
1 in 5 children never eat fruit.
17% of Scottish children aged 15 years are obese.


Top Tips for Healthy Eating

1. Eat regularly- it doesn’t help to miss out on meals.
2. Try to include one of the following with each meal- bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, chapattis or breakfast cereals.
3. Eat fruit & vegetables daily- try to aim for 5 portions per day.
4. Try to vary your diet.
5. Cut down on sugary foods & drinks e.g. sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks, cakes & biscuits.
6. Cut down on the amount of high-fat foods e.g. fried foods, crisps, chips & pastries.

The above tips + exercise can help u reach & maintain a healthy weight.
