The YHS is a health service for young people run by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde working in partnership with Culture and Sport Glasgow, Community Addictions Team and voluntary organisations.

Wot u need to know

We try to make the service as private as possible. It’s open on Thursday evenings in Maryhill and Wednesday in Sandyford North for young people aged 12-19 ONLY.

The service is confidential & below is our promise

Here to listen and not to tell

We provide a confidential service to all our young people, including under 16’s. This means you can tell others about this visit but we won’t.
The only reason why we might have to consider passing on confidential information without your permission, would be to protect you or someone else from very serious harm. We would always try to discuss this with you first.
If you have any worries about confidentiality, please feel free to ask a member of the project staff.

About ur rights / responsibilities

How old do I have to be????

In Scotland it is legal to do certain things at certain times. If you are under 18 years of age
click here to find out what & when.

The UN convention on the rights of the Child is an International standard which agrees to help protect young people and encourage them to become responsible adults.

Article 12 is quite important, for young people, for example did you know that you have the right to see a Doctor on your own, about anything at all from age 12 years? This is one of the reasons we have a YHS here on a Thursday night.

To find out more about Article 12 you can phone 0131 527 8200
